FINLAND. Finnish opening in the charging market

The Finnish fast charger manufacturer Kempower has spread chargers like dandelions all over Norway. The Electric Vehicle Association visited the factory in Lahti to learn more – and to provide our input.

If you haven't heard of Kempower, you've probably come across them without even thinking about it.

In recent years, they have delivered a large number of fast chargers to Recharge, Kople and Eviny, among others.

Kempower delivers fast chargers where what takes up space – the conversion from alternating current to direct current – takes place in large cabinets some distance away from the cars.

This means that all you see is a slim charging post – also called a “satellite”.

This is a great way to streamline the use of space and resources, in the same way that Tesla does at its charging stations.
