GERMANY. Innovative energy project launched at Munich Airport

An innovative system for sustainable energy generation is currently being tested at Munich Airport: a mobile energy container from FlowGen, equipped with photovoltaic panels and small wind turbines, is used to charge electric vehicles. The project, in collaboration with Munich Airport GmbH, is taking place in a parking lot in the east of the airport, which is frequented by rental car companies.

The container produces up to 200 kilowatt hours per day from solar and wind energy, which is enough to charge four to six electric cars. During the twelve-month test project, extensive data on the performance and efficiency of the system will be collected and analyzed. The flexible design of the FlowGen solution enables rapid installation and adaptation to different locations and applications.
